That one silver "artwork" piece on the wall rammed right up against the thermostat is just one glaring example to me of the lack of compositional skills evident in this apartment; this is a little disconcerting for someone who works as an interior designer. I'll grant that aesthetics are very subjective, but regardless of one's tastes, editing skills and some design rigor are needed to produce an overall well-balanced and (as others have mentioned) cohesive design.

Yawn....looks like Pottery Barn on steroids or something; not particularly original or inspiring. And what's with her model-like posing? I'm not interested in what she looks like, as if that lends some sort of insight into the decorating...same goes for the other people that show up in these sets of photos, although at least many of them tend to look a little more natural...there should be a pets only policy.
