Agree with Bee for Brian above: White should be your primary color, but you have to mix it up. My recommendations:

White vintage wooden furniture (think vintage cabinets with curved legs and moldings, not Ikeas). Traditional wooden shapes will give you the feeling of sunny Americana, versus cold and sterile white.

Pale or warm woods and natural materials - think basket weave/wicker chairs, teak, unfinished pine, burlap, off-white canvas. A few bright cognac or walnut-colored woods could help too (I picture a near-orange wooden coffee table), but don't go too dark. Warm, organic shapes or antique shapes will also be better than angular modern pieces.

Pops of color will also help - toss a few bright red, yellow, green, or sky blue pieces in. Think red vintage trunk or faded yellow throws/pillows, or pale white art with a brightly-colored frame. Incorporating them into light patterns with white or off-white will help.

And throw a thick or hearty rug in the middle, too. A rustic weave or pattern will make the place seem a lot mote comforting and less dreary.

This looks absolutely awful. Useful? Maybe - I don't know how much heat .75 sq ft of foil will actually reflect. But I'd rather have the sterile-looking included wings next to my A/C than melted duct tape and foil.
