If you are someone who spends time before bed, unwinding from the day and relaxing actually IN your bedroom, then I can see how a particular colour might influence that calming down period and affect your sleep.

Personally, I usually spend time in front of the tv, or editing photos until I realise, hey! its late, I should go to bed! Take myself off, put on pjs, brush teeth, wash face, TURN OFF LIGHTS & CLOSE EYES! <<< wouldn't matter what colour the walls were painted.

I'm of the opinion that the type of sleep you have is less influenced by the colour of your walls, than how you spend your day; how stressful your job might be, what you do before going to bed -- actively/consciously unwinding and relaxing or being stimulated by electronics or books. Plus a multitude of other influences!

Holy moly. That's intense, would love to know the final cost. It certainly looks amazing, I bet all the other mum's are quietly cursing though!

While it is a vast improvement on what it was like before, there is something bothering me about the after that I can't quite put my finger on...someone mentioned the word bleak earlier and maybe that's it. I think the nook with the bath should be cosier in some way.

How I WISH we could get these in NZ!! Sometimes the internet is just so frustrating -- you find all of these amazing and beautiful things, then can't source them because we are tucked down at the bottom of the world on a tiny island. Shipping costs are just ridiculous!

I'm not a fan of this at all. The curtains make it look very messy & cluttered.

I once lived in a rental that had curtains instead of cupboard doors and I hated it -- didn't help that our cat thought the best game in the house was to get INTO the cupboards and attack the curtains from the inside. Ripped kitchen cabinet curtains and a cat in with your clean dishes? No thanks!

@charlie26

I am stealing the first part of your comment.

I've read all the comments and I still don't understand. I concur with the other Europeans/Aussies.

I'm from New Zealand, and was thoroughly confused after reading and re-reading this!

This is pretty cool, haven't seen one on such a large scale before. I do wonder if this was knitted by hand, or on a knitting machine though...
