Citronella plants are good. I plants them in pots and bring them during the winter.

I still buy incandescent light bulbs just because they are made locally in PA- the ones I buy are anyway. I'm holding out for LED.

Jeni_Rae, I love grilled pineapple, grilled vegan pizza, and bananas stuffed with dark chocolate in foil (you could add peanut butter)

I like it with grilled pineapple with sauteed onions and a small dash of soy sauce. I'm not into lettuce and tomato on my burgers. But I'm vegan so I don't know if my opinion counts.

I want almond milk delivery. But I guess I could make it myself.

I live in Philadelphia and I have a wooden bench on my front porch with an cushion meant for the outside. All of our neighbors have outdoor furniture (meant for the outside) on their porch except for one. They have a ratty old sofa. But I think they're college students renting the house. The house is one the eyesore of the block (for many reasons). I love sitting on our porch year-round. In the winter we sip hot cocoa and wrap ourselves in blankets and in the summer we laze around with lemonade. Our immediate neighbors have dinner on the porch with an outdoor table and chair set. I would say our neighborhood is middle to upper middle class.

I've used it when recipes called for cocoa but I wanted vanilla instead...like vanilla cake instead of chocolate. Sometimes I divide batter up and make a marble with chocolate and vanilla.

This is by far my favorite store in the world. I go to the Chestnut Hill store nearly daily. They have the best chocolate.

The skull above the bed is creepy. Seems like some industrious parents could make the more expensive one with a jig saw, wood and a pencil outline.

Well, children still have to live in the environment which is being destroyed, partially, to non-biodegradable waste such as plastics. I would put old plastic toys in that category. When I was a child my cloth toys would eventually start to fall apart and disintegrate after years of play and then being handed down to younger siblings.

I love the Bla Bla dolls. They're fair-trade and made from cotton. So cute! http://www.blablakids.com/Online-Shopping/Classic-blablas?range=43%2C78%2C78

Also, there's a doll at the hunger site that is also fair trade from Africa. One doll goes to an Aids orphan and one comes to you. And Ten Thousand Villages has a similar program.

Goat meat and cow's tongue were my dad's favorite when I was a kid. He also liked rabbit. I think that's why I'm a vegan now.

My paternal grandparents live in southern France but I grew up in Philadelphia. My mother is from Louisiana. I grew up eating lots of Northern African, Medittearanean and Indian food plus loads of creole stuff (not cajun). Now, I eat mainly made up stuff. My husband is from Florida so I try to make southern cuisine which is very different from my mothers creole cooking- there's no real gumbo is Florida. Plus, we're vegans so it's all over the place. But I still snack on dates, eat lots of couscous, and we go through pistachios and figs like mad.

I use vintage hankies that belonged to older passed relatives. Whenever I wipe a tear I think of them. Awww.

Beans are full o'protein. I eat more beans than soy because they're versatile, cheap and delicious. Quinoa and beans together are awesome.

Ha Bosse, booze are haram. I don't serve it. But Trader Joes has some great alcohol free mojitos. I'm a vegan but I find that when I go to events with vegetarian fare and meat dishes that the vegetarian stuff gets eaten by all of the omnivores. I stick to "ethnic food" that traditionally has no meat.

I would use it for dry clean only clothes that aren't dirty but just need to be freshened. I wear my clothes a couple of times before washes anyway.

I had the wonderwash when I lived in an apartment. It helped a lot because it was supper far to go to the laundry mat. I think if I go camping it would be good too.
