A Roundup Of Avocados

i have an 11 year old cat and recently my boyfriend and i decided to get a kitten, partially to keep it company, and partially just to get a kitten. my cat hates it and just hides under the bed all day. any time the kitten sees my cat she launches at her face (no wonder my cat hates it). at first i thought she was just wanting to play but im starting to think that shes just really agressive.
like linnealoves, my cats arent allowed on the table or kitchen counters but the kitten isnt getting it. she gets up there and knocks over my plants or digs in them or rips them apart. shes really driving me crazy. i've had to move all of my plants to really dumb places just because she hasnt learned to jump high enough to get them yet.
sigh.

i really wanted to buy one of these for my condo but after a lot of reading i found out that you cant use the compost straight out of the machine on houseplants. you have to let it "age" outside first which kind of makes it useless for me.
boo

100% totally worth it.
i got one for my cat a few months ago in a desperate attempt to try and stop her from throwing up everywhere and it totally worked. she was a hairball-aholic and nothing i did was helping. shes on really good food and i tried all sorts of supplements and i had a different cheap-o brush that i'd use on her but since i splurged on a furminator she hasn't thrown up at all. joy!
you do have to be careful though, too much brushing in one spot can really thin the hair out.

"we're one of those people"? It's ok to use "I", really. The internet won't revolt.

i didnt mean that leather in general doesnt come from beef cows, it does, and it comes from all sorts of other animals too, but cowhide rugs come from cows specifically killed for the skin. reading it now i realize that i wasnt clear. at all. haha.

anyways, while there probably are small farms that do "use the whole cow", i grew up on a beef farm and i can assure you that the cows we ate never ended up as rugs on the floor. i also doubt that ikea buys from the small farms or that they really care where the hides come from.

and yes max, i fully agree re: knowing where your meat/food comes from.

i really just have to say that those of you who think these hides are byproducts of the beef you buy are really misinformed. leather products generally do not come from the slaughterhouse. its certainly easier on the conscience to think that its a good thing because you're "using up the whole animal", in truth your not.
(and no im not a vegetarian or whatever, but i just get annoyed when people think that leather comes from the beef industry.)
