If this were in the US, yes! As long as there were some good jobs (however my boyfriend would be out a job considering he's a mechanic and loves it). I think it could definitely have character and be sustainable. There are so many ways to do that. Goodness, this would be amazing to live in!

I very much do not like 1 or 3. The others are all right but my favorite is 2. Black, white, and blue give it an elegant and chic feel but none are overwhelming.

4 feels a bit overwhelming with so much blue and white. Don't think I could ever go so bold, but it is a unique idea!

We have wanted this since it came out! It's supposed to be really good. Planning to buy it next year with tax returns. Can't wait! Some friends say they have saved over $200/year with this already!

Placing a picture of the ocean in the empty frame would look pretty awesome, especially a high quality image professionally printed.

Either way, that was an AMAZING transformation, and I have now been introduced to a new wonderful bathroom storage idea (I also thought it was a trash can until I was corrected)!

Interesting idea. Love the creativity. But yes, practicality is no. I like the simplicity of it though. Perhaps make the stepping bars with actual steps. The rest stay the same. Then it would be pretty neat. Might be multi-useful as well. Hang some art off the sides, or clothes. Wrap lights around it, etc.

However, I can't help but notice she seems to have her bedroom over the kitchen...or bathroom? Either way, smells all night long. I'd rather sleep in my garage than the kitchen or bathroom.

But, that's off topic. Design is creative, but for marketing purposes, it needs a small touch-up.

It would help if they took pictures in the day when it looks nice out. If a house can still look creepy with the sun shining brightly, then...maybe it's time to reconsider your decor - unless, of course, you like scaring away the neighbor kids.

However, I really like 3 the most. You can still see the detail to the house, rather than just a black blob. And I like 5 due to the roof being a lighter color and the openness, and of course the yellow. Gives it more of a normal feel but with a unique color.

I don't know the brand of ours, but searching for a larger storage space for a desk, we found an armoire on Craigslist. GREAT condition with just a few scratch marks for only $75. Absolutely love it. Freed up some more space, as well as freed up even more space due to so much storage potential!

Decorated the inside doors with a magnetic strip, which was then covered by contact paper. Made our own photo magnets, and now I can just hold important memos and notes with the magnets.

The top of mine has a huge cubby as well, which is used for Bankers Boxes for files.

In the past, we have thrown all the socks in a small bin - to be sorted later. Then we would just dig for socks. Haha

However, now we just take one day a week to put all the laundry up and match socks. Thankfully there aren't too many pairs to match in just a week.

I might to buy all the same types. That sounds so much easier!

It looks good to me, but not my taste. Wonderful creativity. However, I think either the picture is a bit crooked, or the box they used around the storage piece is crooked, making it give you a 'sloppy' feel.

However, without that crooked feel, this is a wonderful piece and the color choices are nice as well. :)

As someone else pointed out, they have a new dishwasher and new stove hood. There is no way that actually took only $17. I could believe the paint job took that little if they had brushes lying around already and some extra wood.
However, the concept of just painting and adding(or taking away) cabinet doors is nice. I love the creativity of this kitchen.
My favorite is the added cornice and molding for the cabinets. It gave a subtle splash of texture.

Currently dirty clothes at the foot of our bed against the wall in one hamper. However, just received a new one. Will be using both in the walk-in closet once I clear up some space. :) And the third is for clean clothes! Small bin for socks.

I love the concept. I don't think it would look as bad if they had a shelf resting on those pegs on the bottom. Or if they had two of those small three shelf bookcases to fit in the middle of the pegs. It would be a more complete look and feel.
