I just moved into my grandmother's house this year. She used to have Easter here every year in her epic garden. This year I did a buttload of work in that garden and all the nieces and nephews came over and ran amok with sugar and plastic rabbits. Next year will be even more elaborate. It could only be better if she was still here. Do You Embrace the Traditions of Your New Home? |

Holy cannoli! I have never seen my canisters anywhere else, EVER! I can see coffee, tea and sugar up there, I have a flour one as well (same size as the sugar). Where is this picture from?! I must know! ;) Best Small Space Grocery and Food Storage Tips Roundup |

I am trying to get out of the habit of eating at my desk, I used to eat there all the time. Now I will not eat anything that needs a plate there (drinks and small snacks are ok). So breakfast is at the table like a big girl. We'll see how long I hold out. Where Do You Eat Your Breakfast? |

I have the most basic version of the first Bodum one - glass and recycled plastic, no Bakelite (sigh). It works great, and I am willing to bet that most of the other lower-end Bodum ones work just as well. Unless you're into spending that much on a coffee press, of course. 5 Favorite French Presses |

There are lupines that grow all over, MontgomerySt, maybe you can find some that work in your area! I just moved from Nevada where there are tiny pale blue ones to California where there are crazy yellow shrub lupines on the coast. You don't have to go without! I'm with PilarJ, I find if you look at the actual study it may not be drawing the same conclusions that the media reports. The media likes a nice clear-cut sound bite and that is so rarely what science provides. Healthy Skepticism: Marion Nestle Takes On Food Studies |

I think 3 and 6 are both gorgeous woodwork, 6 in particular is a bit too twee but I think I'd go for 3 in a heartbeat if it weren't four-poster style. And I had piles of cash lying around. The 10 Most Expensive Beds on Etsy |

Love this, does anyone know if this is painted terracotta (the Before)? I have a lot of unpainted terracotta pots I'd love to do this to and I wonder if it would work the same way. Before & After: Dabito's "Old Brand New" Planter |

I do own a real toolbox and a real hammer. However, for all the flak I have gotten for that tiny hammer, I use it ALL THE TIME. And if you get used to using it you get in the habit of tightening the handle periodically. It hasn't come apart on me in years. Got it in college and for all the random little stuff it is great to keep in the junk drawer. A New Home Tool Kit |

I still don't get the fascination. I had to stay with family who had one just like the one in the third picture, and I did all the cooking. It was a giant pain in the ass! When you can't turn the heat down on those top plates enough and you just have to leave the pot halfway off of the heated part and then when you cook too long they lose all their heat and things take a million years to cook.
