Thanks for letting us view your lovely apartment. I love it whenever A.T. features one of these old San Fran or LA apartments. Well written, clean choices. This place looks like a keeper. Personally I would slowly de-modernize the furniture to match the classic look of the place, but that's how I always feel when I see old world places like this one. I don't love the living room furniture arrangement. I think the Van Gogh portraits elicit too depressing a vibe for the bedroom. I also think the kitchen and dining room are too blue, but clearly other posters disagree with me. At any rate, enjoy that beautiful apartment!

The apartment is pretty cool. I usually don't like these types of modern styled lofts, but the walls look great--very clean. Really love the rug and red cabinets.

This is a beautifully light filled flat with views of the park's greenness flooding into every window. Inspiring open spaces and immaculately detailed walls and high ceillings. I would, over time, and as the paychecks continue to roll in, match the space with period appropriate looking furniture instead of eames and ikea, but that's my opinion and may be the opposite of your taste. Thank you for sharing. It's a breathtakingly beautiful place, and I'm very happy for you!

I listen to a lot of classical and went for a detailed and analytical open ear AKG 701 ($250-$300). I compared it to a short listening session on a Sennheiser 650 which was too unrealistic sounding to my ears, a little base heavy as well. The AKG's hurt the top of my head after about 30 minutes so I have to take breaks. I opted for a Headroom headphone amp and DAC which totaled between $500 and $600 and were not worth it. I'd have to spend a lot more to hear significant improvement, I think.
