i definitely agree w/ #3! I am kind of frugal/cheap, so I recently used an old shoebox and put my cleaning supplies / dishwashing liquid in the box to keep the cats from knocking them over and keeping them organizedish. One time I accidentally bought salted butter, so I just calculated how many grams of salt there would be in how much butter I used based on the salt content in the nutrition facts section!
