For those of us in the south-eastern United States who have Kudzu vines taking over all the place, wattle fencing may be a good application for cut vines. Keep in mind though that those vines need to be cut and dried out a bit.

Wattle Fencing: A Cheap DIY Material for Modern Outdoor Spaces

My best so far was an apartment outside of Charlotte NC. It was in a nice quiet area and in a building from the 1930s I believe, maybe even the 20s. It had wood floors, a lovely small but well laid out bathroom, a living room with huge built ins, cute dining room, two small bed rooms and a bright white kitchen with original glass front cabinets. All for...ready for it? $575 a month.

The reason for me leaving was complicated and mixed in with a rather hard break-up, but I still think about that apartment when my rent check goes out for $1500 for a semi-okay one bed room apartment in SoCal.

I vote before..less hassle and the space will be on its way to becoming " your own" immediately vs. a bumpy back and forth while you are trying to sort through boxes and furniture. Once you get the keys you can always go in for an hour or two and do swatches in each of the rooms too before the contractor gets in there.

Should I Paint Before or After Moving In? Good Questions

I worked on a very small goat dairy farm when I was younger and needless to say goats are an awesome idea for clearing weeds and brush in back lots and pastures.but I am not so sure about someone's neatly cared for lawn with borders of time honored azaleas or something. I love goats and plan to keep some when I finally stop moving around and have the space...HOWEVER..that being said a grouchy Nanny goats will give you a swift head butt to the butt if she feels like it, goats can be very loud, and their droppings tend to a bit more of a heavy shower at times vs. something that the homeowner would not notice. Plus even farm dairy goats are good at jumping onto and eating almost anything.
