I lived for a while on the 73rd floor of one of the tallest residential towers in my city (Sydney) and I've got to say, it really didn't feel that weird. The elevators were super speedy so it only took about 30 seconds to get to my floor. The windows had little ledges against them so you didn't have furniture right up against them and you were sort of never in a position where you caught yourself looking right down. The views out across the city were so picturesque and you're so high up that you don't see much movement looking outwards so they felt more like big pictures and windows. I came across this post searching for a way to lessen the grossness of the pink kitchen in the place I'm thinking of buying until the funds are available to resurface all of it. Do not put a pink kitchen in unless you are planning to live there until you die.. Most people are taking one look at this apartment and leaving because the idea of spending one more second looking at pink melamine cabinets and a maroon/purple mottled faux granite laminate counter is making their eyes bleed. Yeah TherapyONdisplay, what are you talking about? There's nothing in this article to suggest it only applies to rental properties and the picture is from a house tour of an owned property, so they don't nee anyone's permission to paint a patter. Where To Start When Creating A Home Color Scheme |

It's funny, I don't even notice the popcorn. While this house isn't really my personal style, I really do love that its so unpretentious. The colours work perfectly and the whole place just feels relaxed and oddly calming for such a colourful place. Caroline & Jose's Remarkable Nest House Tour |

It's so different to anything I've lived in that I can't actually imagine what it's like to live in full time, but I would love love love to holiday in it, walk around barefoot on that carpet, cuddle up in the media room and just luxuriate! It's a beautiful space and I'd love to hide out there during the middle of winter Kris' Comfortably Glamorous Home House Tour |

I'm not sure if its a different story in the states, but in Australia (where I work for the biggest off big hitter florists in the country) we wouldn't dream or storing roses. We've had fresh shipments scheduled to arrive during the night on the 12th and 13th from Colombia (because South American roses are pretty unique and local grown roses can't really compare in size and wow factor) as well as back up roses arriving from local growers, during that time. We wouldn't risk sending out flowers with a short life, because we have a resend policy on quality complaints, and roses will be difficult to restock a few days after valentines day to do that, since the growers time and empty their crops for this day. I also remember for my 5th birthday I was adamant that I wanted a unicorn. I can remember my dad staying up late the night before with a candle, and the next morning he'd twisted a wax candle into a unicorn horn, covered it in gold glitter and fixed it to my mother's palomino horse's bridle, and braided ribbon through her mane and tail. When all my little friends came over for a party he dutifully led them all around the garden on "Unicorn rides" There are still photos of me beaming on the horse's back, and I vividly remember proudly showing off my unicorn to all my friends.
