The front of this really looks like it would fit into that neighborhood perfectly. Over 35 years ago, my sister lived in one of those duplexs with 3 other girls. She didn't like that much company and ended up sleeping in the closet under the stairs - Harry Potter style.

I love this post. I have been looking for ideas to build my own outdoor kitchen. I want functional and inexpensive. My internet searches pulled up gobs of over the top, $$$$ outdoor kitchens, but very little like these. Small Outdoor Kitchens |

'The Pleasures of Cooking for One' is one of my favorite cookbooks. Judith Jones is such a role model. I've been a fan since Vogue magazine did an article on her in their annual 'age' issue. And, her kitchen is one of my favorites. It's so functional and interesting. I'd rather look at it than any showroom style kitchen. Judith Jones Makes an Omelet for One (to Share) Kitchen Tour |

I fell for one of the cheap knock-off Le Cruesets and got what I paid for. The enamel chipped, it was hard to clean and it just didn't cook as well. I gave it away. Tips for the Slow Home: Buy Well, Buy Once |

I gave up on the lawn years ago in a previous drought. I just trim and mow what ever manages to grow in the lawn area.

Me too! This is one of my favorite things to do, on vacation or in my own town. I go on foot or bicylce. I've found the most interesting gardens and houses this way. I much prefer them to the big attractions. Do You Garden Snoop While On Vacation? |
