I actually have a bin full of random things I have picked up in case I forget a birthday, plan something for someone at Christmas I wasn't expecting to see, etc. This has saved me stress and money because I buy things when they are a really great deal (cashmire scarves for $10 for example) and then have them when needed. I also like to pick up things for people when I find the perfect thing instead of waiting for when I need to buy a gift (I bought a star wars clock for my boyfriend months before the next gift giving event because it was perfect and on sale). I think the idea works for some people, myself included and can actually be a great way to cut down on stress and spending if you plan appropriately. Also, mine only takes up a milk crate worth of space and is hidden up in a part of my closet that is hard to get to so the space isn't missed. How does this book compare to Make the Bread, Buy the Butter? I already have that and don't want to buy another book that is just a repeat, but if it adds something new then it may be worth checking out. The Homemade Pantry by Alana Chernila New Cookbook |

In DC, there is Speakeasy DC. (www.speakeasydc.com). They have classes on how to tell a story and also have regularly scheduled events with people telling their stories based on a theme. I went to the one last year around Valentine's Day and had an amazing time. Modern Day Storytellers: Preserving Oral Histories |

I ditched my car four years ago when I finally moved into the city. I metro to work and to most activities, and take a bus when it is appropriate. I do get a zipcar or cars2go a couple times a month and am thrilled with the option, but have no desire to own a car again. Driving VS Public Transit: What's Your Preference? |

Some nice folding chairs. I live in a studio and don't have space for a ton of seating for day to day living, but would love some cute, comfortable folding chairs to be able to pull out when I have guests over for a party. Hosts & Hostesses! Tell Us...What's On Your Wishlist? |

Lenzai, I use baskets mainly for things that are best stored in drawers, I don't have many drawers so I keep all my kitchenaid and food processor attchments stored in them, as well as my cookie and cupcake baking stuff. It is mildly harder to get stuff out than if it were in a drawer but still not much of a hassle. Small Kitchen Storage: Put Baskets Above the Cabinets! |

I ate and loved pb&j as a kid. Smooth peanut butter with raspberry preserves almost every single day from 1st grade through graduation, with a grilled version on weekends. My family makes fun of me quite a bit for my love of such a simple sandwich but I don't feel there is anything more comforting then it. Just Like Mom's: What Sandwiches Did You Grow Up With? |

When I was a kid my dad would actually use a heart cookie cutter to cut out the center of the sandwich, but send me to school with the whole sandwich. When he found out I was only eating the center and throwing out the rest he threatened to stop doing it, and thus I started eating the crust. Did Your Parents Cut the Crusts Off Your Sandwiches? I currently have a single handle faucet with a mounting plate. I am trying to buy a Touch 2O faucet, but am not sure how to determine which type to buy because I am not sure how many holes I have on the counter because of the plate. Is there any way to know, or take a reasonable guess without taking apart the faucet to look under the mounting plate? All About: Single-Handle Faucets Faucet Spotlight |
