Sorry for the late reply! To all the comments about the garland on the crib: yes I absolutely removed that once she was able to even slightly reach at around 8 weeks. Now it is safely located away from her grabby hands! And I do plan on rearranging the room once she starts pulling up and can reach that birdcage. It's very lightweight and has no sharp edges so I feel comfortable for now. I figure that a room evolves as a child grows so things will be baby proofed as needed. Thank you for the concerned comments though. Beautiful rooms are important but safety always comes first!
