Max's place is one of my favorite places to spend time. What a magical space he's created! If you can't find any inspiration in his cabinet of curiosities, you should go back to eyeball school.

I do hope people realize that it takes a little bravery to share your home with Apartment Therapy readers. Your taste or not, isn't it fun to see other people's homes? I'm more than a little curious to see how the nasty comment makers live, perhaps that can be a new feature on the site called "people that live in metaphorical glass boxes". I'm sure they would enjoy the feedback they get from fellow readers.

Thanks for all the nice comments! I had no idea the paint thing would be such a hot topic. For me it's more about living well wherever you may be.

Stuff questions...tiny fridge is a 60's toy I use as a spice rack, I just really liked it so I made up a use for it. Dump truck is a toy from my childhood/magazine rack. Deer print is Louise Bonnet from a show in '04. Little Whales wallpaper in the bath is Geoff McFetridge. Grass cloth- my walls are a mess, as my place is slowly sliding off the hill. Just pick one with a heavy texture (it helps disguise imperfections) and call it a day.

Outside stuff...the patio has a roof overhang a previous tenet put up. It keeps things dry for the most part, I just polish the chrome as needed. The chandelier is wired just like a swag light and rain isn't an issue. It's basically my old dining room, just outside.

Isn't it funny that I never realized how much vintage I had 'till I wrote everything down?
