I live about 45 minutes away from Seattle. Whenever we are in Seattle around breakfest time, we go to Lola's for the doughnuts. I purchased this cookbook just for that recipe. I have made a lot of other recipes from the book. The Chocolate silk pie with pecan crust is to die for. I love the stories about the recipes and all the pictures.

Please note, that the recipe are a little advance. I have had friend borrow the book and return it stating it was over her head. Also some of the measurements seem a little odd, but the recipes always turn out so good.

Hotel Andra is my husband and mine favorite hotel in Seattle. We live about 30 miles away from Seattle, whenever we have something we are doing in Seattle we make a weekend of it and stay there. The bathrooms are tiny but they have tons of little shelves and ledges to put your stuff. I love that the mirrors don't fog up. FYI if you stay there do yourself a favor and order the doughnuts from Lola's, they are awesome!
