wow.. all that money and it shatters the first time you drop it.

not to be cynical, but it's also happened with watches, etc which come from 'designer" brands. I mean really, are they squeezing so much profit out of the name that they can't afford to upgrade the glass on these things?

I store mine in a drawer. No point to me in seeing things you don't use.

Considering the cost of the extenders, bulk cat 5 and a cat 5 crimping tool (if one isn't already owned) it may may more sense for the average user to just spring for the 30-40ft HDMI cables from Monoprice.

A year ago I helped a friend put one in and he said the cable only cost him about 25$. Otherwise, if you have more experience, cat5 is the way to go. Monoprice sells a nice set of extender wall plates for 20$.

A Desk for One Final Frame

That's sort of my gripe with many of these gimmicky gadgets. Their mainly meant either for looks (cuteness, irony etc) or they're mean for part time usage such as in dorms or even by extension coffee shops.

There's very little that I see in the way of permanent full time solutions, but the good news is that it's easy to make your own. I usually attached a power strip to the back desk and anywhere that you have a drawer with a nearby outlet, you can drill a hole in the back and run your chargers into the drawer for hidden storage / charging. I do this in the bottom drawer of my nightstand for my phone and tablet.

The problem with most cable management is that it has to be DIY and has to be designed around the furniture and devices. it's completely doable though. I hate cables.
