9 Smart Shopping Tips for Flea Marketing this Summer

I try to buy all organic. Not because of what I'm eating, but because of what the non-organic farms are doing to our earth. I read somewhere about a family who decided to cut back on charitable giving in order to spend more money on organic groceries as a form of giving to the earth. This resonates with me. If our earth were treated better by agriculture, many of our other problems (like dirty water, etc.) would also subside.

In Jordan it's often eaten by dipping a small piece of bread in olive oil, then into the zaatar flakes. Delicious!

Here in the USA we love it sprinkled on pizza! Or scrambled eggs. Or roasted potatoes.

While all of this looks delicious it seems an awful lot of work for what amounts to wine, bread, cheese, chocolate and fruit. I can't believe it was necessary to create an inspiration board to match cream, beige and tan. Good grief. Or maybe I'm just hangry and need to go have some crusty bread with nutella inspired by these crostini.

Also, use parentheses properly or not at all. It's just not that hard. Okay I'm officially grumpy and am stepping away from the keyboard. It is a lovely table, truly.

Just be sure the black dye in that canvas is not leeching into your herbs. That fabric is likely not meant for organic matter and could release whatever it's been treated with into your food.

Ariellie - the "mandatory" nature of the shot makes anyone who doesn't take one a spoilsport. Making people feel excluded at a supposedly welcoming event is not cool, or classy. Just like taking shots is not cool, or classy.

There is no need to keep the print forever. Apparently it is also meaningless to your boyfriend who bought it not because he liked it, but because he liked you.

The story is gold and you will "have" it forever. No need to hang on to a thing simply because you have a story to go with it. The original intention behind the purchase, and the memory of the sweet beginning of your relationship is what is really worth saving.

Don't have a dish rack --- have a dish drying mat. It's like an absorbent shower/bath mat, but sized for dishes. We use one and set our hand-washed dishes there to dry, then slip the mat into a drawer when not in use. There is nothing uglier than a dish drying rack, IMO.

Ikea, as usual, FTW.

Or get something from Craigslist. These prices are laughable.

In Jordan the midday meal is also the largest (often a meat/rice/veggies dish) and the evening meal, with much smaller portions, is often leftovers or much simpler fare (sandwich).

Hummus and falafel are for breakfast!

Also, since the sections aren't really air tight, if you've got salad in one box and crackers in another, your crackers are likely to be softened from the moisture in the salad. These boxes are so adorable but I agree that Mason jars are the bomb for all types of lunches. I could see using a bento box to carry around dry snacks for kids --- cereals, goldfish, maybe raisins?

I have a tiny little colander I found at a discount shop and it's the perfect size to keep fruit from getting bumped. I don't think a tea towel/cloth napkin would do much to protect a peach or plum. You need someting rigid.

Lyd067 --- I think part of what keeps salads in jars fresh is the fact that they are fairly tightly packed into the jar so not much air has a chance to circulate and spoil the food.

I have a friend who does the jar shake, but she makes her salad every morning.

For me, the convenience of not having to make a lunch salad every morning outweighs the fact that I'll have to rinse off a plate/bowl.
