we have the Mandal, but the problem is, having a hubby that's 6'3", a dog who is a bedhog, plus me on a queen size bed isn't all that much roomy. I wish Ikea offered a king sized mandal frame! most frames that do offer a king size cost a grip! Best Storage Beds 2012 Apartment Therapy's Annual Guide |

always be honest with your landlord. besides, you never know he or she may wind up being super nice. We were always up front and never had problems with our landlord and he allowed me and my soon to be husband to move in together 3 years ago without question. He even encouraged us to adopt a dog together. Should I Ask My Landlord If My Boyfriend Can Move In? Good Questions |

i actually broke my tailbone 10 years ago falling down a flight of wooden steps. if carpet isn't an option, i'd edge each wooden step uniformly with something grippy so it's still safe enough and doesn't impede the aesthetics. Slipping, Sliding & Safety: Carpeted vs. Wooden Stairs |

LOL these comments above make me laugh. I love the concept but definitely not practical! Definitely not kid friendly. Sculptural (and Slightly Scary!) Small Space Steel Staircase by Francesco Librizzi |

i love the rustic look! For me, i would've permanently affixed the wine crates together with braces or nails to keep them from shifting and busted out the front panel of one of the crates (either the top or middle one) so i could have a mini shelf. since they're temporary nightstands, they should at least have SOME function! i LOVE the countertops! personally, i feel like a dark gray goes perfect with orange. if you need a backsplash, i suggest glass tiles with complimentary colors. or you can do a stainless steel backsplash to make the orange counters pop more. Shannon Crabill: I bought a lack solely for outdoor use and I live in bipolar California, so after a few random rainshowers and sun exposure my Lack paint started peeling off and the wood was coming unglued. Within a few weeks the poor table collapsed on its own sorry self and met a tragic end. I think if you were to put it outdoors, I'd definitely seal it with something like epoxy or something.
