I think it's easy to say that you shoudl be willing to spend more money on something if you HAVE the money to spend. Most apartment dwellers that I know are on a fairly modest budget.

Yes, patience is the key. My apartment is filled with terrific finds that I could never afford at retail price. But, it has taken me a year to furnish it, and there is still work to do. I frequent stores like Homegoods, TJ Maxx, Overstock, etc... I got a beautiful dark solid wood table at the JC Penney Outlet (new in box) for $75! Just had to keep stopping by until something came in that I loved.

When bargain shopping you have to be willing to put in the time and also content with collecting one little piece at a time. You have to wade through a lot of junk to get to the good stuff!

I would say that in the interest of space twin beds are the way to go. I mean, you two obviously won't be having any "overnight guests" in that situation, so a larger bed isn't really necessary.

I feel like this home has great bones, the furniture is beautiful and there are some great details. ... Now someone just needs to go in there with some colorful rugs and artwork and bring it to life!

I think they would look much less odd if replaced with a simple glass panel rather than a full functioning window, or even just an open cut out.

Easter was always my favorite as a kid. I would spend hours drawing what I thought my Easter Basket would be like. Seeing all the decorations every year always makes me sentimental.
I don't have any kids yet, but will be making my boyfriend a basket. I'm sure he will be quite surprised!
