I think parents put up an alphabet to help children become familiar with letters.
I personally love alphabet decorating. I don't even have kids and I sometimes think about putting one up on my wall. haha

Peroxide - clean ears
Laxative - constipation
Natural tears - dry eyes
Neosporin - wounds
Vitamin C and B12 - when you are feeling run down

I work in the medical field and am surprised how few people have these on hand.

Likes- the brick walls, the cats, the dining table, the horses in the bedroom and layout of the home.
Dislikes- the white walls and the color of the wood of the kitchen cabinets.
I would paint the cabinets white and the various walls bold colors.

In Philadelphia, Northern Home for Children in Manayunk/East Falls collects all kinds of school supplies for the children (all ages, grade school thru high school) that live there and also poor families in the area. An excellent place. They have a Facebook page.

College bookstores have sturdy textbook boxes two weeks before a college semester starts and the 1st week of a college semester. Not always convenient but if you know you're moving in advance you can store them. Plus most colleges have 4 semesters.

I've managed to live w/o 2 and 5. Ha!
