I've not completed my cure but it has nudged me to complete tasks that I've not touched all of last year. As others have stated, this may have to be a monthly cure to get to the point of "general maintenance". I can see the light at the end of the tunnel now!

For this month: reclaiming our living room from toys and clutter! Stage one is using the outbox(es) for keeping/donating toys and clutter and stage two for next month will be organizing her room.

We had a great vacation in Morocco this past spring. I would have loved to buy a tagine and textiles but didn't want to lug it around. We did buy cedar handled skewers from a shop where the skewers were made.

I have a travel themed room for my five year old and I spy the Miroslav Sasek books! I used a few of the paper jacket covers and framed as wall art. My room isn't as lovely and tidy as yours. In a few years, I hope you enjoy finding faraway places on the globes with your little one!

Thank you for not staging your home! This is a real pace to live and love, not a showroom.

My daughter also has a travel themed room although I don't have the clean lines that you have. This is a relaxing space. I especially love the aviator Teddy Bear and the bookshelf !

Taming the toy clutter via donation as well as incorporating a system of "toy rotation" has allowed us to reclaim our living room!

I love the closet!

Reading that Sai is a nurse, I think I understand her desire to feed her inner diva. Most nurses are in scrubs and comfy footwear and on their feet. ALL. DAY. LONG. So why not, kick off your white dansko clogs and uniform to retire to your inner sanctum after a long day of physical, mental, and emotional work? Having spent a good deal of time with aging parents and hospital stays and even for my own stay after giving birth, nurses deal with it all and my family has been appreciative of the support and care they provide. Please continue to feed your inner diva, Sai!

It's obvious that a child lives and plays there. I live in a small home a little less than double the square footage and it seems so cluttered and overrun by our daughter's stuff. I am so inspired by your space -- beautiful and clean but not like a museum where you can't touch anything. Time to start de-cluttering in our home as well as make better use of space and storage.

I'm with Rucy on this, too. Maybe Starbucks' food quality will go up, but the La Boulange bakery might go down. I think I'm going to have to get one last prosciutto and fig "grab and go" sandwich before any changes are made.

Just received a bag of kiwi from a co-worker. This just might be a good use of kiwi and a way to kick off the weekend!
