My bed is in the corner of my room. I put a floating shelf about 16" above the top of my headboard with two wall lights underneath. I purchased a fairly large, and super colourful, art print on canvas and I have it sitting directly on the shelf. I also have a bold print duvet cover that is black, grey and white, and some fun colourful pillows. Ideas to Make Corner Bed the Focal Point? Good Questions |

I would also suggest some nice big pillows. But if that doesn't work out, perhaps fill it in with plants! Is there a window in that space? Strengthen the mantel, make it bolder and get a framed mirror or a big piece of art (you could even do it yourself) for above the fireplace. How To Deal with Sunken Fireplace? Good Questions |

You have 3m high ceilings, use this vertical space! Perhaps put shelves around the perimeter of the room. You can use this space for things that do not get used often, such as seasonal clothing. That way the dressers and such that you do have can hold the things you are more likely to use on a daily basis. There are so many options for storage bins that you can use on the shelves. Since you are renting, you may have to ask the owner. If they are reluctant, make sure they know that the room will be more appealing to future tenants because of the extra storage space.
