You sound like the coolest person at the party - mimosas and all. Wish I saw more people like you at the four year old parties I attend! One of the main things I've discovered since having my children is that people (mainly other parents) judge others by perceived milestones (intentionally or unintentionally, who really knows?), and if you haven't got all your bases covered (house, the right school, the car you're shepherding said kids around in etc) then you never quite fit in - which is why you'll often find me out in the garden with the resident cocker spaniel, sharing my cupcake. And gladly, too.

I love this because ... it reminds me of when my husband & I were starting out on our journey together. It reminds me of our friends too. I miss those days!
