We have a Keekaroo High chair with the infant insert and my 7 month old seems to enjoy sitting in it. I believe that the booster seat would be just as comfy.

The colors remind me of a mental hospital. A little too institutional for me.

Great job. I have to agree with RPK123 - her room looks huge. BTW, what Ikea bookcase is this?

This idea is brilliant. That is why I love this site! I have been pricing forward-facing bookshelves and they can be pretty pricey. This solution definitely agrees with my budget!

I just lost my number one girl in March. We had her for 18 years and even though we have 3 others, she was the most talkative cat.

I am sorry to hear about Beethoven's passing and my prayers go out to Donna. Her post was very beautiful.

I still have a land line. Outside of the fact that I get a discount for having it, I prefer not having to worry about misplacing my cell or leaving it at work because I have no other means of communicating.

I was just having this conversation with my husband. They need jammers on public transport. I really don't want to hear about your problems on my commute home.

My kitchen is just as tiny and windowless. It really gives a visual picture to some of the ideas I had it my head. Wonderful transformation!

My lighting fixtures - I would like to get rid of the gold fixtures and get something more modern. The closet doors - these old metal bi-folds with some nice sliding doors. The room doors - they are simple slab doors.

As a new home owner, I can not afford what I really want and I really can't justify paying alot of money on furniture. It's been Ikea and Craigslist right now.

Great post. It's hard to find pendant lamps with a wall plug. Now I need a chandelier that has a wall plug!

Great job. I have been playing with the idea of removing the paint off my cabinets and your hard work has inspired me!

BTW, how much was the electrician and how did you find a good one?

Thanks!

LOVE! LOVE! LOVE! My husband and I have just moved into a new place and were trying to think of ways to refresh the kitchen without paying an arm and a leg in renovations.

This kitchen looks terrific. It's a job well done!!

*We don't want the furniture to be on the rug. It's hard to clean that way. Also, the odd shape room is actually the 2nd bedroom. Sorry I had to clarify.

BTW, does anyone have any suggestions for carpet and co-op boards?

I am in the process of moving into a co-op that requires 80% of the floor covered with carpet/rug. We were thinking of using 2 rugs for the living room but do not the furniture to be on the rug so we are hoping to get away with the furniture covering space including smaller area rugs.

BTW, I have the same issue as drea310 with an odd shaped room. I can't even begin thinking about that space!

We are in the process of packing to move and I have gotten rid of my vinyl albums from the eighties. I had a lot of exclusive and limited editions but they took up space and I don't feel like carrying them to our new place. I have also given up my majority of my PS1 games and plan to start on my PS2 games.

I actual feel liberated! Next are my comic books! :-o

My fiance and I are in the process of purchasing a home. We plan to hit Ikea hard so we can furnish our home easily and as affordable as possible.
