The rope railings look great, but they would strand me on the ground floor - they give no support for the trip down those stairs (me with bad knees, sister with ms; we hang together while the rest of the family runs around.)

Empty boxes of tissues work well for plastic bags too. They don't hold as much as a milk jug, but no cutting is needed.

I bought the W bed after reading Gregory's glowing reviews a year or 2 (could it be 3?) ago. Well, like Gregory, I have low spots where the bed sinks where I usuallly lie (in the middle.) I've tried putting unused linens in place between the box springs and the mattress (storage!) which builds things up a bit, but I wouldn't go recommending the W bed to anyone.

Well, the real question is how many people have enough space to devote to a swing.

Your set up in the old place looked great Eve. The reels were totally in context in the room - obviously your a movie lover. In this post's picture the reels are just round things with no context to relate to, but since they are so recognizable it leaves us searching for a context, to no avail.

3 years ago I moved from a ground floor apt in Brooklyn to a 3rd floor apt in Queens. 2 years ago I had ankle surgery and was on crutches for 8 weeks. Major upper body strength building ensued. Currently, up is no problem, but down is killer on the joints.

I'd worry about dirt from the open window and dust over-all on the clothing. I'd be tempted to throw a sheet over the hanging clothing until I came up with a better solution. Maybe a track of hospital curtains around the hanging apperatus to make it an 'enclosed' closet?
