Light filled 2800 square foot home for two adults and until very recently a small dog (sniff). We are looking to downsize when we move to another state in the coming year. I agree with other posters that it depends on how the space is laid out and used. For us I think 1200 square feet would feel ideal. Average Home Sizes Around the World |

Goodness gracious just love this house tour and love the neighborhood too! Tons of light and photography, books and collections that are cool not precious.
