How could you overlook what is arguably the most famous tea pot, the Brown Betty? I just got one this week and it lives up to it's reputation--pours perfectly and has excellent heat retention. And they're cute! Good Design, Everyday Objects: Teapots |

I'm from Vancouver myself but have been to Ottawa several times. I've always thought it was a beautiful and interesting place, though I don't think I've ever been there in the fall--only in the summer and during the tulip festival. Thanks for sharing your photos and for reminding us there is more to Ottawa than federal politics. A Colorful (Almost) Autumn Tour Of The Ottawa River (With Desktop Wallpapers) |

Thank you, for reminding us to be thankful for the people around us that we truly appreciate! We often take them for granted. My best room-mates fall into a four-way tie and one of them is my husband. All of them taught me about the most important qualities of friendship (patience, understanding, love) and always made me laugh. And really, what more do you want from someone you live with? Regarding fruit stains: I have two small children, so stains are my life. I find plain white vinegar works for may fruit stains. It is especially good for strawberry and blueberry. It doesn't work for orange stains, though. Maybe vodka works on that? For red wine, I was told to take hot water and pour onto the stain from a height of about a meter--sounds crazy, but it works. I might try the vodka on the orange stains, but if you want to save the vodka, you can use vinegar for strawberry and blueberry ; ) What is Your Quirkiest Cleaning Tip? Real Simple |
