My brother was redshirted, but it was more of a social-development decision for my parents. We moved halfway through his "preschool" year. When they enrolled him in kindergarten, they put him in the half day class and then the next year he "moved" to full day kindergarten.

In the end he was older than all of his other classmates (especially since we moved yet again) and he was considered "above grade level" in almost every subject. Ironically, he played football and he was still always the smallest kid on the team and dropped it in high school. He's dating a girl who was a year above him in school yet actually technically younger. I think making a decision when your child is 5 and thinking that it will play any sort of impact on their entire lives might be a little lofty?

I also use Mint.com, I was surprised to not see it on this list? I love the simplicity of having everything sync up so I can easily see where my money is going. I have the iPhone app and it's really wonderful, it sends me alerts about things that I deemed important in my settings and it offers a really simple snapshot of my finances.

There is nothing worse than coming home from a clean hotel to a messy house! I do all of these things but the most important piece for me is to pack early! Otherwise any headway I've made cleaning the few days before a vacation is completely neutralized by hectic packing!

I recently starting using TSA-approved sizes for my gym bag toiletries, now whenever I go on vacation my toiletries are already packed and ready to go! It's a pain that they're 3oz now but I just keep refilling them once a month or so and it's not too bad.

For the record, I LOVE my shot glass collection, so much better than stamps or spoons! They make amazing talking pieces at parties, I collected mine during travel and have over 40 now.

I just made a picture ledge a little wider and I have a row of them (think bookshelf style) on my wall. I put my more valuable ones on the top so they get used less often but other than that, I can reach up and grab however many I need and then put them back when I'm done!

I do something similar, every morning I go through my Google Reader (getting my apartment therapy fix right away!) and if I see an article that I want to take the time to either read, or add to pinterest, or save in some way, I just open it as a new tab. I go through a certain amount of my reader, just adding tabs, and then I go through and "do" those tabs. It helps me from having my google reader out of control and I find that if I feel like I have to read the article NOW I'm more likely to just skip it.
