Add me to those who admire black cats. Love what you've done with your tiny space. Would you provide the source for the wood shelves above the kitchen sink? I'd like to add a shelf or two above my fridge.

After seeing so many foo-foo frilly entries, it was refreshing to see something masculine. Love the rich, earth-tone colors. You've created a wonderful space with great symmetry. Cute dogs...you'd be foolish not to use them as models, especially with your color scheme.

Love your peaceful room and that sweet black kitty (I've got one, too). Think I spy a little space on the window sill for kitty to gaze outdoors.

I'm curious about the headboard and nightstands...are those reclaimed wood? Love your minimalist approach with pops of color.

Purple is one of my favorite colors and it works well in this room. Love the bedding with a strip of purple print and the white accents on the walls.

BTW...when it's time to consider colleges, Danielle might want to look at Northwestern University in my town of Evanston. Not only are the school colors purple and white, a Purple Line elevated train also runs from Evanston into Chicago's loop.

Aston is fortunate to have a mom who balances functionality with whimsy. The placement of objects gives a strong sense of symmetry. One of my most favorite rooms thus far.

Also did not know it was a basement apartment. Love its simplicity. The black head/foot board and other furniture pieces give a cohesive look. Like placement of the area rug in front of the dresser.

You've inspired me to consider placing my dresser next to my bed instead of across from it.
