My girlfriend and I just moved to Minneapolis about a year ago. Theis is our first apartment outside of college housing, so it has been fun to finally decorate!

We actually made the kitchen bar ourselves. You can get the white melamine at any hardware/home store. The legs are from Ikea.

We do have three nice closets, so that allows us to keep stuff out of sight.

Thanks everyone.

The bedroom paint color is from Home Depot and is called "wheat bread". Pot/plant rack is from Ikea as are the acrylic chairs in the kitchen and bedroom. We split the four chairs between the kitchen and desk in the bedroom since most of the time, two is all we need. Its nice tohave four matching chairs if the need ever comes up.

Yes, the headboard is DIY and yes, you can slide shelves in wherever you want. The space is made to take regular lumber (1x4, 1x6, etc) so new shelves of varying shapes, sizes, materials, and colors are easy to come by.

There is so much that I love but then there is so much I hate like the dead animals all over the place and the huge standing cow. Its whimsical and fun but I like the more refined details like the amazing chairs and some of the lush colours used on the wall. In a word if whimsical was like sugar maybe this house a few spoons too many.

What ratio of beans to water do you use during the infusion period? And then after the 12-24 hours you then add more water at a 1:1 ratio or to taste? I'm looking to make a batch that will last a few days, so probably 48-60 ounces of finished coffee. I drink cold-press from Starbucks all year long, but would love to make it at home.
