3 or 4 times a year I have an 11 hour flight to Hong Kong. Airline food as everyone knows is not always the best but with a wife like mine that doesnt matter. I can tuck into corned beef or roast lamb sandwiches lovingly prepared by my wife. On several occasions I've noticed the person sitting next to me looking at my sandwiches with undisguised envy.

I've almost finished converting my CD collection to digital. A whopping 100GB so far. I look at my DVD collection and get shivers when I think of the time involved in doing the same to them. 1500 DVD's at one a day....should be finished in 5 or so years. Doh!!!!

Our house is our refuge. While our friends all leave town for holidays we like to stay home. We've just spent the last 2 years of weekends landscaping and we're almost finished now. We've done all the work ourselves and through our local version of Ebay we've made purchases to incorporate a few luxuries like an outdoor shower, an outdoor bath concealed beneath the day bed and an outdoor kitchen. I still have to knock together some sort of solar water heater to supply some hot water to these but I'll get there in the end.
