@Kate
Thanks for the info. I actually went to your blog and left couple of hints.... A inexpensive way to hang unframed artwork (it is used by starting artists, that cannot invest in framing their artwork for gallery shows) is binder clips. Now the trick is to fold a piece of a index card in a V and slide where the clip will hold. No dents!

I'm still looking for a printing service. Kinko used to be great, with large sizes and cardstock.... now Fedex-Kinko, not so much.

I cannot believe no one mention www.ApartmentRatings.com, which tenants from mostly complexes can post reviews.
In this site there is also a link to a police report on crimes and sex offenders.

Wow! It sounds too good to be true.... I went to the site, and no mention of copywrights. As an artist, I'm curious if the posters are copywright-free. Also can someone recomend a printing service?

The idea of sending a written note is great. Usually when we are hungry, it's very hard to send the food back. In my whole life I did it 3-4 times. It's hard to deal with the manager during the rush of service time.
When I was in Paris I never ordered cheese in a restaurant, will try the next time. Yelp has great restaurant reviews for Paris.

Oh, what did I do with a wheel of Parmesan at my feet? Goooooaaaaaalllll! I soccer kicked it under the table, knife and all.

Well I was expecting more hints, because I was looking forward to learning something new. It was what not to do, but where is the how to do?

How to serve cheddar versus brie? An idea of what's the right size chunk? Is a 1/4 inch slice ok?

My pet peeve: a big hunk of hard cheese stabbed by a knife in a reception with a lot of people. In said reception the cheese was Parmesan (gasp), the guy in front of me tried to stab the cheese, and rolled from the table. The large chunk fell on my feet.

Great job creating an eclectic nursery.
One question... the changing pad... I believe those things are supposed to be taller on the sides, to prevent the baby from rolling, like a u shape.

Just made pancakes this morning, using a half recipe.
1/2 cup flour, 1 tbs sugar, 1 tsp baking powder, two pinches salt. Mix well. Add 1 egg, 1/2 cup "buttermilk" (milk with lemon/lime drops) 1 tbs oil or melted butter. Mix, add more milk if too thick. 4 large pancakes in less than 5 min.

Will try to freeze french toast, Jennybeen.

There is such a thing as good karma of passing things along... The weekend before X-mas we got rid of a lot of toys from my teen, most barely touched, in a yard sale, for very cheap prices. Some games were still wrapped. I could imagine all those toys under the xmas tree, wrapped like new. and the happy faces of the kids opening them.
Now if you are dead set to keep it, and you have free space...keep it like it is, I think there is too many details to change it to a bookcase.

A real lovely transformation! Great design, and I love the white. But I question a bit two items.... I had a white sink once and it was awful to keep it clean. You have to be polishing all the time. I could not imagine having to seal the marble 2x a year, either.

Well, sister, I agree with you. At home we have a firm policy of no large upholstered stuff, unless I have the budget to strip down the fabric and redo it. Even the stuffing can be smelly. Before the bedbug craze, I would spray the furniture for fleas (and I mean small chairs), but I not taking changes now.

It's expensive to have a sofa redone, so why you'd spend money on something of questionable origins? It makes more sense to buy it new. Major department stores like Macy's have sales with good prices.

Wood furniture can be sanitized by wiping with Lysol and leaving outside in a sunny day. If it is sturdy.... solid wood furniture can even be hosed down quickly, like hose and wipe dry immediately.

Now the Wallmart table was a real find, real cute.

Early 90's? I think it's more between 50's to 70's.

Regardless is a great job, fantastic transformation! Besides, the finished wood lovers cannot complaint about ruining a piece with paint (oh, the the nice wood grain...). I just wish we had another shot of the living room set up....

Truly adorable... I'll bet the lil chef will be cooking up a storm. I'm dying imagining all the cute accessories that are stached in that kitchen... and all the planning that was involved... As a note, I hope it's attached to the wall, since it is a hefty piece of furniture.
When my child was little, he loved to play with his own pots and pans (yard sale finds and a cheap set of wooden spoons) and cook along side me, in his kitchen. I had plans to transform a small tv cabinet into a play stove, but I just got to finish the "dinnette" part... his small table and chairs, that I painted and decoupaged.
