If you take the time to groom your cat, you significantly help cut down their digestion of hair, which helps prevent hairballs.

Cute article.

The bench has a back, perfect for company.

Love the vintage pieces.

Karate chop pillows are like those stress reliever balls you keep by your desk, yet prettier.

First rainstorm hits and you have drainage and all the dirt that comes with it streaming down your walls.

Isn’t it sad that coffee cans are now plastic?

I have no landline, and two cell phones. (You can’t get two numbers routed to one cell. Ugh!)

I was looking into one, but they cost is pretty ridiculous considering the whole concept is outdated. I live in San Diego where the reverse 911 calls saved many lives in last year’s fires. However, I don’t see myself paying an extra $40 a month for one.

The seat is too deep to comfortably lean back, and even if you could, the back of the seat is too short. I love red, but I love leaning back even more.

I've been using a velvet curtain from a Walmart clearance bin for years now. It always gets Ooos and Ahhs when I pull it out of my beach bag, and it feels great when I'm wearing next to nothing in the sun. I guess it's really better for sand, however.

Now all you need is a sound machine with tweeting birds, and voila! You still have an apartment with no windows.

I would not recommend a loft bed. They're not very romantic, take it from me.

I am very pleased with my Murphy Bed, which is a double. It's sturdy (ahem) and folds completely out of site. Its only 15 inches deep, as well.

Any studio with a Murphy Bed is a winner with me.

I needed a home office/living/bedroom space as well, and since I work from home, I needed the bed concealed so I wasn't tempted to take mid-day naps. My boss would be so pissed! Ha!

I too have a studio that originally housed a Murphy Bed. When I walked in, saw the odd double doors and the holes in the floor I just knew. I purchased a new frame from Murphy Bed Depot, and although it was a beast to put together, I am VERY pleased with the results. You are lucky to have an original frame that is in good working order.

I am an advocate of Murphy Beds. Mine has transformed my home office/living/bedroom space.

Horizontal Murphy Beds are the wave of the future.

Mine is a vertical one, just the frame, which opens from within a set of double doors built into my apartment. It cost $250, with free shipping from Murphy Bed Depot. It was quite a daunting effort assembling the beast. It didn't include any cabinetry to conceal it though, which I didn’t need.

I’m not sure I like the laminate look.

Wow. This is beautiful, however Murphy Bed installations are not for the faint of heart. I purchased mine from Murphy Bed Depot, and the directions were off. Luckily a kind friend and I had the common sense to know when NOT to follow the directions. I love the horizontal mounting, takes up less space in the middle of the room. I was lucky enough to have an older apt with double doors built in to conceal my Murphy Bed. I love it, and it provides me extra space in my home office/living area.
