People shouldn't be wasting that much food. They should learn about portions etc. There are many ways to use up leftovers, including putting it in the freeezer and making a big pot of soup instead of throwing it away.

Just my opinion. Mom always said, "Don't put it on your plate if you're not going to eat it - you can always go back for more."

Seems to me composter would be of better use for vegetable peelings and tops, egg shells, banana skins, Saturday flowers, coffee grounds, some spoiled food etc. Otherwise, budget what you cook. We waste too much compared to other nations.

Goodwill is another place to find a goodie or two. I just picked up an amethyst black hob nailed vase that sets off my black dining table or the tansy green walls especially with white flowers.
I also found some wood pieces to use for diaramas!

I gave up my iron. Anyone know where you can get pretty napkins like these that don't need ironing?

I live in a small condo. Since I'm in a wheelchair things have to be very handy. One of the first things I did this year was to take the door off my bathroom. The door was only 4 feet from my bed anyway. If I want privacy - I close the bedroom door which is much easier the way things are situated. I don't have a problem with mold etc. I turn the fan on. I have a shower with a bench and not a bathtub. It doesn't bother me a bit. I dare say there are probably more germs on your shoes and on rugs than my very own toilet seat that no one else uses.

dog and cat accidents........why not toilet paper?
Oh me of no pets.......so I may not know.

I love the ceiling but I NEED the bookcases with the file drawers underneath. Anywhere local - Cincinnati area?
