How can a baby not be ready for a sitter? Of the complete post, this puzzled me the most...

Love this! Great industrial/Scandinavian feel. Keeps it light and airy. Colors only distract me, so this is toned down scheme is just perfect for a bedroom.

I keep seeing a funny face in that breadbox with the jars on top. Is that just me? :)

I also live in a very small apartment and use a IKEA Sultan Aksdal bed base with 20 cm legs underneath and put a bed skirt over it. It gives me a lot of storage and you don't see a thing. If you have some room around your bed, you can also build a wardrobe around it against the wall.
Personally I'm not a big Expedit fan, because you see them everywhere (not a sound argument, I know...). Maybe you can try something with the Stolmen series from IKEA? I think you can use that as a great room divider.

Good luck!

Dear Susan, I think the only thing you can do is carefully look at the floor plan of the building/floor. My boyfriend and I live in a very noisy building and our bedroom is adjacent to the neighbor's living room. Furthermore, it is on the street side. Next time I will be very aware of those kind of things. And the top floor tip never fails. Good luck with everything!

Sounds like a really cool plan and don't worry, it's just paint! :) For all you people wondering what color can do to a space here's a website of a Dutch paint brand http://www.histor.nl/over-kleur/ruimte-kleur with very clear pictures about the effect. For all of you who don't speak/read Dutch (probably all :P), here's what they say from left to right: (first row) widen - making higher - less deep; (second row) dynamic - link - separate. Have fun with it! :)

TARAINSEVENVALLEYS it maybe doesn't cost you any money when sitting on a well. But it surely costs a lot of fresh water! And contradictory to popular believe, there isn't so much of that to go around for all of us in the world (for example see http://ga.water.usgs.gov/edu/earthhowmuch.html).

Bit of Dutch feedback :-): snoezelen is the verb, the base form is snoezel, which makes it a snoezelroom. That's also the correct translation of snoezelkamer (kamer=room).

Really inspiring pics! But how does "Make peace with loveseats, settees or small sofas. [...] The smaller the furniture, the more room you have for other pieces." compute with "Go with one piece of larger furniture like a sectional, and then leave the rest of the room open."?

Does anyone have any ideas on how to solve this dilemma? :-)
