TOXIC CHEMICALS ARE RELEASED FROM PLASTICS-ESPECIALLY WHEN HEATED. Dioxene for example!!! There is a direct link between autoimmune diseases( ie:MS, Sjogrens, Lupus plus about a hundred others) and dioxene.

Try not to use plastics but if you must, recycle and get it out of your house. Think glass and reuse whenever possible rather thhnan buying the same think over and over-

plus it's ugly not good for you either-lol

Wow, I have never seen so many comments about a post.
I think this one is up to you- you seem to really love it-how about asking the sellers if you could just spend some quiet time alone in the house? I would probably plunk myself down on the ground and close my eyes and think about it. I think the answer will come to you- maybe let your body and or intuition tell you were you want to live after all, your body is the house where you live. Sometimes we use our heads too much.

Is this a candid camera kind of joke to see if someone actually likes this? Not eco wise, not cute, not funny.

Nothing sweeter than a fanatstic iron for wrinkles you can do something about- I iron about once a week- a zen type of experience when it's a good iron. I would love this and so would my vintage and antique linens- pretty, pretty please.

I have collected beautiful treasures from nature and times past- locally and internationally but I have so many lovely things and too much furniture. I would like to have some help arranging the furniture in a beautiful but challenging Edwardian. The living room basically has one wall, one wall of built ins, a wall with a fireplace and a window and a no wall side that transitions into a space that I can't decide whether it should be a mind /body room or my bedroom. Some of the furniture elements include a turquoise french provencial couch, a 1930s armoire, an elegant indian elephant table where the trunks come down to form the legs, Hamadan rugs, marble and alabaster lamps, a beautiful Italian gilt and iron Candelabra wall sconce out .
Also, I spend a lot of time resting and would love help in creating a sanctuary in my bedroom. It needs help not just in terms of location but which of 4 tables I should use as nightstands- a vintage hospital table, an italian florentine style jewelry chest from the 30s, a 1920s secretary with tons of little drawers,or a shabby chic Pierre Table.
Lots of potential -and I would so love your help in bringing it all together.
many thanks

Hi Amy,
Well here's my chance to pretend I live in Brooklyn. For the summer months i think it would be lovely to do a mix of Jasmine Flowers, Passion Flowers and Clematis. There is a reforated patterned material used a lot for radiator covers that might be good to use for privacy or perhaps some long woven pieces of bamboo that you could roll away if needed. I probably would do a mysteriously gauzy sheer fabric window treatment with some plants. Hope this helps,
V

Might I add mechanical pencils to the list of good things. They are nice and precise and I have found that I can often use pencil where pen might normally be used. A funny thing too is that you often find cartridges of them at thrift shops and garage sales which helped with one of my pet peeves about mechanical pencils- often there is a lot of packaging that comes along with them. I was wondering can the little lead containers be recycled? I also second the use of a converter for fountain pens- and yes montblanc doesn't write the best and I wish Lamy was easier to find in the US- only a few people carry them in SF but they write superbly-I have been a huge fan of fountain pens for years and there is something very romantic about them- ecofriendly and romantic- NICE!
