So, I suggest we consider everything under 1000sq ft small until 2014...and revise later!! :-)

I really like Sandy's place and I also like the fact that she admits she loves "how big it is"!! But I do believe that AT should revise the regulations of this contest...Do you really think that 925 sqft make a "small" house? In most places I know 925 sqft would make a 3-bedroom-apartment!

I inherited my parents' green thumb!! They have a huge garden and have always been very fond of plants; my dad likes growing various vegetables and trees, my mother prefers flowers. I live in a flat and have only balconies, so trees are out of the question, but I do have a lot of herbs and flowers and they become more every season! Gardening makes me calm and I am glad I have parents who have taught me how to do that!

My cat allergy started four years ago, till then I had always lived with cats and dogs and never had a problem! The doctor told me to give away my cat but it was impossible...she was 18 years old (!!) and I couldn't imagine my life without her. I started giving myself immunotherapy shots (every single morning), but it's been a difficult decision (they cost a lot, you have to stop in case of a pregnancy, they are not always successful ...) and things started getting better about six months later....My cat died at the age of 20 and I still miss her....

I like the house a lot, but I really can't understand how it is possible to own a house and not know how big it is..... Here in Greece the size of each house (square metres) is written on every electricity bill one receives and the taxes one pays depend on how big their houses are (renters & owners)! (That's one reason why, when I see tours of houses of 2,000 or even 3,000 sq feet, I get speechless...)

I think a focal point (huge art or a group of framed photos or mirrors...) between your sink and the window (but closer to the window!) would attract the eye immediately to the dining area. I like plants so I would also place a plant on the floor right to the sink. Is there place for a narrow console table next to the oven?
