I don't see the point in this. Putting them in a flat-bottomed food storage container works much better. If this is meant for an onion that is cut in half, why is it the size of a whole onion? When you place the cut side of an onion down on the flat bottom of another container, the cut is sealed, allowing little oxygen to speed decomposition, plus the closer in size the container is to the cut onion, the less oxygen is allowed around the entire onion. Plastic bags can do a decent job of this too as long as the air is sucked out, but they are wasteful and don't to a great job of blocking odor. Apartment Therapy The Kitchn | Hot or Not? Method All-Purpose cleaner is great for everyday cleaning. Bon Ami or Barkeeper's Friend is great for burnt on stuff, especially under the "lid" when liquids sneak under the burners. Dr Bronners is fantastic for cleaning greasy stuff, and just about anything else! Apartment Therapy Re-Nest | Good Question: Non-Toxic Way to Clean The Stove? |

We have this bowl for our vacuumhound, which comes in three different sizes. It worked for about a week but he has now learned how to eat around the pegs. Not sure what to do now... I've been told to just drop a few pieces into his bowl at a time but that can be very time consuming, especially when he eats 3 cups of food a day! Food & Wine's Chestnut Stuffing with fennel & Pancetta. I've made this recipe for the past 3 years. It may sound over the top, but the flavors meld together so well. I've made it with and without the chestnuts, and have found they aren't necessary. To me, it tastes very classic. Just think of the pancetta as bacon and the fennel as a sweet onion. Not so la-de-da after all... Apartment Therapy The Kitchn | The Recipe Hunt: How Do You Make Your Stuffing? |
