Nope. Although I am more than comfortable in my tiny 388 sq ft condo, I don't think I could ever live in one of those lockers!

I've lived in a number of shiny glass condo buildings in Toronto, but my favourite rental was a 1 bedroom basement walk-out in a million dollar, century old house in a mature neighbourhood. It was newly renovated by a young couple who'd just bought the house, so I was the first ever renter and everything was nice, new and clean. It was my first apartment alone, without any roommates, so it really felt like my own space. The landlords were wonderful, the backyard was beautiful, the neighbourhood was ultra-convenient, and the unit had laundry, an ensuite, a dishwasher, central air, and a central vacuum system to boot! It was, for all intents and purposes a basement, but with all those little perks it felt pretty posh. I stayed for two years, and would probably still be there today if the couple hadn't started a family and wanted to take back over their space.

To be honest, I didn't even mind the "before" too terribly much, aside from the floors, the over-sized furniture and the bit of clutter. But the end result is great; bamboo floors look stunning. Well done fellow Torontonian.

Prescription antihistamines (not advocating prescription drug use just for the sake of it, but I've always had trouble falling asleep and it's just a nice coincidence that my doctor-prescribed antihistamine is also known to help induce sleep and treat mild anxiety.)

And Phillips Wake-Up Light: sleep mode. The gradual fade from light to dark.

Lots of great suggestions here. My first thoughts also were:

-Paint the cabinets
-Update the hardware
-Update light fixture

And, I would update the built-in cooktop as well if you have the budget for it (I have one the newer ceramic ones myself, and I don't believe they're exorbitantly expensive.)

I love it. One of my favourite house tours yet; the colours are perfect, and it's an absolute dream.

I'm headed to Dublinon holidays next week, but next time I go maybe I'll look into an apartment swap and could only hope I'd be so lucky as to get a place like this ;)
