Did not have a great experience at The Foundary ordering a pair of chairs which arrived in flimsy packaging, missing hardware and with brackets that didn't belong to the chairs.

If its shipping/packaging/customer service does not improve, I don't know if it will survive.

I took a chance on ordering a pair of molded plastic (clear acrylic) eiffel wood dowel leg chairs for a very good price from the Foundary.com and I'm beginning to get that "I've been had" feeling.

The chairs arrived quickly, but in a flimsy box without much padding. There were also no instructions on how to attach the seats to the eiffel bases. Nothing was damaged, so we let it go. Assembly is basic so the lack of instruction seemed okay, too -- then we discovered the hardware included was lacking, as the seats jiggled and tilted off the base after assembly.

We also noted that the two supposedly identical seats came with non-identical brackets giving an impression that these were chairs "frankensteined" together and thrown into a box and sent to us.

We contacted customer service and they referred us to a third party manufacturer who takes your email down to answer faulty-product questions. Also not very heartening. It's been two+ biz days and we've yet to hear back from the third party.

We remain optimistic that this will be remedied by either an exchange or full refund. I will report back, but so far, it's not been such a great experience with The Foundary.com.
