I love the idea of doing a dark wall (navy or maybe even a charcoal grey), and white floors. It'll give the room a really terrific ombre effect make the tiles pop and make it seem like the floor is levitating. Use bright accessories to add more color- I'd go with pops of yellow and green (vases, knick knacks, window dressing).
