WOW! This is truely scary
The majority of responses indicate the the average person does not want to deal with their neighbors. I live in NE in a city (75K). My street is has 20+/- houses (mostly 2-3 unit older apts in duplexes built in the 1920s)
I have only been here for five years. I speak with at least 10-12 residents weekly, They are aged 30-70. We share gardening at the community garden, snow removal issues, dog walking, recipes, etc. Have we become this disconnected in this country?

I used RH furniture & hardware for years...It seems that the have a new Stylist. The attempt to distance themselves from PB was understandable. But this new approach is just plain AWFUL! I can't believe that it is selling...
I had a client furnish a "man cave" with this stuff (against my advice). I later visited to find grown men sitting on the leather seating and dangling their legs without touching the floor (Like RoseAnn on the early SNL)...Pretty amusing!
I can't use a thing tha they are selling...The scale is INSANE and the quality stinks.

OK:
This just like going to a yard sale or "antique" shop, you need to view these offerings w/ an educated eye. Buyer beware...Misrepresentation and ignorance abound. It is up the buyer to educate themselves. Don't invest in a "mid-century" collection if you are not familiar w/ the Bauhaus. There is plenty of info available.

A little on the green/grey side: BM Coastal Fog, I've used it a lot...One of those great colors that changes as the daylight wanes & the lamps come on. You won't tire of it.

COLOR!
Ok, aside from that I would float the DR in the FP room (next to the kitchen) thus, no conflict w/ doors.
The LR should move to the front room...Get a rug & paint the shutter a light color.
These rooms lack personal touches. Minimalist or not bring in some treasured items (art, photos, etc)

You could build a 45 degree wall in that corner and use a conventional toilet...But I agree the corner toilets are a bit fun!

60s...Paint the tall wall to the right of the door a strong color:
tangerine, carribbean blue, chrome yellow, whatever works for you...but BOLD!. Then, hang a large abstract painting or even a framed retro print on it...It needs to be BIG...Keep everthing else white, clean & spare.

I am an architect and use RH all of the time. Catalogue Sales is OFTEN out of stock on items...What you need to do is call the stores in your area (or beyond if that is what it takes. There is a complete list of their branch stores on the website...Just last month I found 6 towel bars that were out of stock at Cataloque Sales...I ended up getting them from 3 different stores...But it saved me from the rath of a difficult client, who was none the wiser. The other thing to remember about RH and PB is that they update their styles and things are often discontinued when you get around to buying them...Buy early or spend some time calling around the country!
