What a great apt! You can tell that a lot of thought went into it. Love that he discount shops. Not all of us can go to Jonathan Adler. Sometimes Home Goods is the bomb.com. Great use of color and space. Cute dog too.

That is a horror show. You would have to rip out everything and start from scratch. Disgusting display of excess. Reminds of Kimora Lee Simmons' house when she was married to Russell. 14kt gold toilets. Get outta here with that.

I agree with Aninhas, the view is the saving grace of the place.

The cabinets are not that bad. Why not find some nice handles for them? You can take them when you go if you want to, and just use wood filler to the hid the holes. Some nice shears over the window would do a lot mask the bars on the windows. I would also loose the dust pan and oven mitts. That's not helping at all. You can get a utility shelf or some kind of a breakfast bar in that space near the dishwasher. How about potted herbs, for some greenery? This is not a terrible kitchen. It just needs some TLC.

My apt walls are similar. I haven't done my living room yet, however my bedroom is gray (Behr Amazon Stone)with white (Behr Cascade White) trim. Whatever color you choose, make sure that the white is really white. It makes everything pop. For my living room I was thinking some kind of a neutral color, the white trim but maybe some removable wall paper within the frames. Not sure, but these walls can be a lot of fun.

I think this is the first time I am commenting on an apt. This is GREAT! It's so well done, and inspirational. I'm crazy about the corner shelving. So simple, yet such a great idea. I've just moved into and pre war apt in Brooklyn and have been feeling overwhelmed. This apt was just what I needed to see to spur me into action. Love it.
