I recommend the Ace hotel in Portland (is the one in PS even open yet?!?) It was quite the feast for the eyes! Speaking of hide - anyone have a good suggestion on how to clean? The broom works well, but my white spots are looking a little dirty (tried using a sponge with soapy water, but found that too much rubbing pulls the hair out) If you have a good method I'd love to hear it! I was just muttering last night about the ill-design of the dish soap cap. It was so clogged and then I ended up breaking it off by mistake - Now I am destine for over pouring for the remainder of my soap. Oye! Haven't used my toilet cleaner yet, hopefully we wont have any mechanical issues there. I'm worried the odd shape will lend to dropping it into the toilet. Unbeknown to me...I was bitten by one of these little black babies a few weeks ago. And even though I thought for sure I would die or my leg would fall off - looking down at the baseball sized welt on my leg - I was relieved to find out that 1 week of gnarly steroid/antibiotic pills (4 times a day mind you!) would be the cure.....I guess if you could call the yet to fade "bruise mark" on my leg a cure....I digress, the rumor of insta-death upon bite is untrue. But don't second guess yourself if you "think" it might be a bad bite, just go and risk embarrassment at your Dr. Office. Trust me. Apartment Therapy - WHAT THE...Is That a Black Widow SPIDER!? Same problem! I had a piece of .5''x1'' wood (left over from making my own canvas frames) that fits perfectly into the window track, it's the best way I've found without drawing notice to the problem. (especially if you take the extra effort to paint the same color as your window moldings) Go get a piece or two cut at Home Depot (I suggest 2 seeing we all like our windows open at different heights at different times of the day) Good Questions: How do I keep my windows from slamming? I painted mine as well! I nearly stole this off the walls of one of the mock-up living rooms when I first saw it. They hadn't started selling them yet and it was really hard to wait until they did.
