I tried Rachel Khoo's version of oeufs en cocottes. Involves dill and (too much for me) creme fraiche - but gives ideas on what to make with them. The dill especially is great. I found this was really good with some ham and I had it with griddled asparagus - great lunch. By *cheap* I mean that I already had the ramekins, and as you'd expect I never used them in the kitchen. 5 Steps to a Clean & Tidy Desk |

My personal *cheap* system is to use small terracotta ramekins to store paperclips and pins etc. I keep them in a shoe-box lid so I can easily move them in & out of their drawer or to another room in my apartment. Not the best looking system ever but it is quick and easy to access things when I'm in OCD organisation mode. If I'm in procrastination mode, I take the ramekins out of the shoe-box lid and it looks great along the back of the desk. 5 Steps to a Clean & Tidy Desk |

I've recently moved into a large flat with 3 flatemates. Nice, big living room.... is empty. Two built-in bookshelf units with nothing on them! Seemingly I have free rein to design the living room, essentially. I wonder if there's anything people might suggest? Living Beautifully… with Roommates House Tour Roundup |

Personally I prefer stove-top espresso makers to cafetieres (coffee presses), I think it makes better coffee and is slightly less hassle in the morning. 10 Must-Have Essentials for a First Kitchen |

I have used about 5 different (android) apps for this, and have settled on Strava. It's really class if you are quite an intense runner or cyclist. It's particularly good if you're quite competitive - a lot of routes in my area have been tracked by other users. There are leaderboards etc for each route, which for me is better motivation than having a half-celeb shout YOU'RE DOING REALLY WELL, KEEP GOING! in my ear every 1/2 mile! Love Bicycling? Can I recommend wild garlic leaves - amazing to add to any dish where you might otherwise use spinach or even watercress (though only as a part replacement). For instance, it makes a fantastic pesto sauce. Powerful Pantry Staple: GarlicIngredient Spotlight |
