My linen closet was a fright! Overflowing w heaps of toiletries, shelves were too wide, deep & tall. Completely non-functioning. Always bought too much toothpaste, but routinely ran out of dental floss. This wknd, purchased several 'multi-function separator XL' from Container Store, $7/ea. http://www.containerstore.com/shop/office/fileStorage/portable?productId=10022942&N=74545&Ns=p_sort_default%7C0

Had my pre-schooler organize the heap of toiletries in to labeled bins (dental, kids, hair, travel, etc). Now, grab what I need in an instant. Can also see at a glance when I am running low on dental floss. It's glorious & my husband cannot stop raving about it! You know you've done good when you sneak a peek at your organization project every time you walk past it.

I am a recent convert to scanning paperwork that matters. 99% of the time, what is important is the 'information' on the document, not the 'physical' document. After a yr of a constant gnawing & nagging inside my head about this tedious (but important) task, spent 6 hrs getting caught up on scanning. Going forward, will make scanning a routine monthly task & not let paperwork become so daunting & out of control.

After a weekend of purging & organizing for my Jan Cure, I am a new found fan of classic Ziploc bags of all shapes & sizes - see thru, pliable, reusable. Medicine cabinet was a horror until I 'ziploc-ed' similar items...first aid, kid meds, cold meds, RXs. No more toppling & scattering 22 tiny bottles to reach the Tums. Plus, in every drawer in every room of my house, the little things that never have a home of their own - coins, batteries, cough drops, paper clips, nookies, travel toiletries - were organized into their own appropriately-sized Ziploc & placed neatly in my linen closet for easy viewing. I am feeling great!

My preschoolers love toolboxes for being 'helper girls', anything bugs / dinosaurs, art kits that 'make' something (jewelry box, piggy bank) & hello kitty handbags / accessories.

How does mom get three small children to coexist with differing nap & nighttime sleep schedules? My littles share a room & disturb each other all night, every night with crying, screaming, shrieking & what not.
