I'm going to come back to this post next time I take a wellness day. I always end up attempting a combination of the two kinds of days you describe here and it never really works. I always end up not quite relaxed AND not quite satisfied with what I've gotten done. Best to pick one or the other! How To Really Enjoy a Day Off |

It's amazing the kind of difference a simple closet re-org can make. I've been needing to this for a while (with all 3 of my closets), and it's motivating me to think of the positive effect it will have on my psyche as well as my home. A Bit Of Control: Organizing The Closet |

This is such a fantastic analogy! Perfectly written and a very helpful way to look at furniture acquisition. I will definitely keep this in mind whenever I get out of my studio and have a larger place to furnish. Apartment Therapy on a Low Carb Furniture Diet |

I look forward to forcing myself into more evenings of jazz, reading, and projects. Day 11: Try a Media Fast Apartment Therapy January Cure |

I've been meaning to do this for a while! This is just the push I needed. I rely on my Pinterest as a very handy resource for recipes, etc, and it will be much easier to use once I've carved it down. I was excited about this week's assignment as well! I will be away for most of the weekend, but feel like I will still be able to get everything done by Sunday night. I already had the flowers done as I try to make a habit of buying fresh flowers every couple of weeks. I am a HUGE believer in the difference this small step can make in your home! I like the $6-$7 bundles at Trader Joe's and split them up into 2-3 small arrangements around the flat. Totally worth it. Storage is a big issue. I want to keep everything I need in there, while also having room for some pretty display items. Also, mold on the ceiling! Bathroom is small with no window and only a fan for ventilation, so the mildew builds up very quickly. Also, my toilet runs. Your Biggest & Smallest Bathroom Problems?? 2013 Reader Forum |
