When we were little my brother and I would leave milk and cookies out for Santa (and dad would always grumble that Santa would probably prefer a beer), as well as carrots for the reindeer. My bedroom window overlooked the flat roof of our carport, and one snowy Christmas morning (a bit of a rarity in rainy Vancouver) we discovered that the reindeer had eaten their carrots on the carport roof and left the carrot tops behind.

My parents have this chair and it's a waste of space. The low back makes rocking awkward and uncomfortable, and no one sits in it until it's the last open seat (and even then I'll still opt to sit on the floor). I'd forgo style in favour of function for a rocking chair, especially if it's intended for a worn-out mother and a nursing baby. A headrest is a must.

I hate seeing so much of the "man things must be hidden in closets/man caves/trash" attitude. But I've also got a huge sports memorabilia collection and a couple of ovaries so hey, what do I know.

I collect shot glasses too, although my collection is relatively tiny compared to some. I recently picked up a vintage blue and yellow round beer tray at the flea market for just five bucks and they all fit nicely in that on top of my fridge. Wouldn't work as well for a huge collection because they're a pain to keep dust-free, but for the forty-odd glasses I have it's a perfect solution.

Oh my god, I am so in love with this. I could live here no problem. What are the paint colours? I love that turquoise.

LOVE! Especially the circus-y curtains and the molar planter. Such a fun space.
