I've been through a few hurricanes. The 1st comment makes sense, also if you have a gas burner that can help too.....keep loads of bottle water, batteries, torch light etc.....and a good transistor radio! How Do I Prepare My Kitchen for Hurricane Isaac? Good Questions |

This holds truth - when I was partnered I longed to just not have to worry about what's for dinner, or bfast.....can we just have scrambled eggs instead of trying to figure out what's pleaseing. I would often crave my bad swings - hanging with my friends...drinking....having a martinit at noon. But after a day I would miss him way too much and then give in....haha! At times when I rush I find that brown rice takes too long to muster up a meal with, and then I go for the quick cook white rice. Now I do cook my brown rice for the week and it works - it also cuts my meal prep time in half, which works for my life-style as well! Cooking for One? Make a Big Pot of Rice Cooking for One |
